Independent prescribing is coming to Pharmacy First. A national NHS independent-prescribing offer is planned from autumn 2026, extending Pharmacy First and the Pharmacy Contraception Service. It is announced and planned, not yet live. What is changing.
Your Responsible Pharmacist remains on the premises throughout, running dispensing and supply as today. Remote Pharmacist adds consultation capacity; it never replaces your RP or supervises dispensing remotely.
